How to describe the character and behavior of the Savannah cat
The Savannah cat has a unique behavior and character. He is an athletic cat. He likes to jump, play and hide to surprise you. He is very affectionate and easy-going, but requires a certain vigilance as to his safety because he has no shortage of ideas for nonsense!!! He’s a real little clown. He has the appearance of a wild feline, with the gentleness of a domestic cat.
His character :
The Savannah is an extremely intelligent, curious, loyal and fascinating cat. He has an overflowing energy, which is why he needs a lot of space. He needs lots of exercise, activity and attention. We often talk about cat dog because it is easy to teach him to walk on a leash, to bring the ball back. It tends to follow you throughout the house, including the bathroom because water is not its enemy, quite the contrary…
Descendant of Serval, he is an excellent hunter: He is fast and agile. His jumps are impressive, powerful and precise, he is also a remarkable climber. Its highly developed hearing allows it to detect prey that is not visible or underground. He will not hesitate then to venture a paw into a hole, to achieve his ends. His attraction for water also makes him a very good fisherman.
From an early age, it is important to provide him with a good education and socialization. Growing up, his feline instinct makes him particularly runaway, despite the exclusive attachment he has towards his master. This taste for adventure is particularly marked for the f1 or f2 savannahs (close to Serval). It is therefore strongly advised to limit its outings by walking on a leash and harness, or better, to reserve a fitted and secure enclosure for it.
Apart from these peculiarities, he behaves like a classic cat.
